The upcoming collaborative watch is based on Casio’s popular Baby-G BA-110 analog-digital combination model. According to the watchmaker, the watch (officially designated as BA-110XSM-2AJR) sports a theme that is inspired by the Sailor Moon transformation scene and, like previous collaboration watches by the company, will come with a similarly decorated box and metal case. The limited edition Baby-G x Sailor Moon model features a slightly translucent navy blue body, with dark purple and black accents on its interface. Unique to the timepiece is the gold-coloured decorations, branding and hands on its watch face that is inspired by the series. Of course, you can also expect the usual features that are included on similar models from Casio’s Baby-G line. These include a shock and water resistant body, as well as world time and back light capabilities. On the back of the watch is a stainless steel plate featuring the silhouette engraving of Sailor Moon protagonist Usagi Tsukino. Meanwhile, its straps come in dark purple and are decorated with numerous graphics of moons, stars and hearts in light yellow, red and blue colours. Another silhouette of Usagi can be found on the upper strap’s free loop. The same decorations for the straps are also featured on the timepiece’s packaging and metal case. As mentioned earlier, the new Baby-G x Sailor Moon BA-110XSM-2AJR watch is slated to be released this August. However, it is only set to be available in Japan for now, with a recommended retail price of JPY 20,900 (~RM 683). It’s worth noting that the collaborative timepiece is listed on Casio’s international website, but there’s no confirmation on whether it will be released in other countries just yet.
