Yasmin first joined MDEC as its CEO back in September 2014 after spending some time in various outfits including HP, Dell, and Microsoft Malaysia. According to the press statement from MDEC, Yasmin will be heading to Jakarta after this in order to take up a role at a tech venture.

Throughout her tenure at MDEC, among the projects that the company was involved with include the Digital Free Trade Zone, MyDigitalMaker, eRezeki, and eUsahawan. Of course, gamers and eSports enthusiasts out there might be aware that MDEC has recently received RM 10 million allocations from the government as part of Belanjawan 2019 in order to develop eSports in Malaysia. It will be interesting to see who is going to take over the top position at MDEC after this; at a time where Malaysia, in general, is still getting used to having a new government. (Source: MDEC)
