In a statement (via Variety) here’s what Disney CEO Bob Iger had to say:
This deal means that Disney will now own the following Fox assets: Twentieth Century Fox, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox 2000 Pictures, Fox Family, and Fox Animation; Fox’s television creative units, Twentieth Century Fox Television, FX Productions, and Fox21; FX Networks; National Geographic Partners; Fox Networks Group International; Star India; and Fox’s interests in Hulu, Tata Sky, and Endemol Shine Group. The deal does not include the likes of Fox Sports and Fox News. And of course, Deadpool had something to say about it. Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter and posted a picture of himself as Deadpool wearing Mickey Mouse ears on a school bus which reads ‘Disney’.
