That said, it’s not something you can do immediately, unless you live in Ireland. The option is now available there, with a worldwide rollout planned for the first half of 2020.
The option will be located in the same spot where you can download your information in Facebook settings. You’ll also be asked for your password before the transfer starts, and all data transferred will be encrypted. The company says that it is still currently testing the tool, and will continue to refine it based on user feedback.
