VGC reports that this comes within a day of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) informing European retailers of their PS5 launch day allocations. This suggests that the second wave of consoles that EU retailers will get will only be coming in next year.
On one hand, this may only be a problem for the EU. But on the other, it doesn’t quite bode well for the rest of the world either way. This is especially considering the pre-order situation in the US. Then there’s also the previous Bloomberg report of supply issues, which SIE has since denied. It’s also worth noting that European countries are scheduled to get the PS5 on 19 November. This means they too are getting their consoles a week late like us.
