The greenlight received by Go-Jek is mainly driven by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Syed Saddiq who has publicly supported the service, citing job creation for youth as the main reason. This led to a meeting between the founder of Go-Jek, Nadiem Makarim with Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir and Transport Minister Anthony Loke earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Redzuan further added that the Youth and Sports Ministry together with the Transport Ministry have been assigned to look into the regulatory aspect of the service in which they have to present to the Cabinet.
