The video was recently published as part of the “Hey Google” Smart Home Summit and clearly had a slide that showed the words “September 8th Android 11 launch” at the top of it. Thankfully, the good folks at Android Police were able to screenshot that moment before the video was ultimately taken down. The launch date seems to match up with Google’s own schedule of launching the final build of its mobile OS to the masses.
Google postponed its Android 11 event that should have kicked off at the beginning of last month, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With the words “now is not the time to celebrate” in its message. Prior to the new information, no new information about Android 11 was announced, and Google had effectively kept its lips sealed about a release date. If you want to know what you can expect from the Android 11, you can read our post about some of the features that should be coming with the next update. In the meantime, we’re keeping our fingers crossed in the hopes that Google actually commits to the alleged launch date. (Source: Android Police)
