Users will also be glad to know that the app will automatically translate in-app messages between driver and passenger to the default language that they’ve set. Grab also recommends its users to set up and adequately top-up its in-app eWallet service prior to their trip, in order to use its services while abroad. In the event of an emergency, users could also request for local emergency services through Grab if required.
Rideshare services that are fulfilled by JapanTaxi covers five cities across Japan including Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya, Sapporo and Okinawa, while Careem covers across thirteen Middle Eastern countries including UAE, Qatar, Iraq, Oman, Turkey, and Egypt, among others. The company plans to extend the service to other South-East Asian countries – including Malaysia – by 2020 which is subject to regulatory approval.
