According to HSBC Malaysia, EZInvest users will have access to a selection of funds with different risk levels that are well diversified across the Asian and global regions. They’ll have flexible investment options to set up a monthly investment plan or lump sum investment. Users will obviously have access to a daily updated view of their portfolio’s performance with a quick shortcut to buy more or sell funds. Security-wise, user financial information is protected by a combination of biometric verification, unique username and password, or a one-time security code generated by Mobile Secure Key.
HSBC Malaysia claims that users can enjoy lower fees compared to similar services provided by other banking platforms. There’s also an introductory offer of a flat rate when purchased on EZInvest. The bank described EzInvest as a milestone as it’s the first investment feature on its mobile app, perhaps hinting at more to come.
