The company touts the FreeBuds Studio to be the “world’s first headphones with Intelligent Dynamic Noise Cancellation.” This provides both active and passive noise cancellation, as well as a dual transparent mode and six microphone array call noise cancellation. Huawei claims that this system is capable of offering users satisfying music and hands-free call experience by achieving up to 40db of noise cancellation.

The headphones feature a Hi-Fi level acoustic system and a 4-layer 40mm polymer diaphragm, which allows it to offer an ultra-wide frequency response range from 4Hz to 48kHz for high clarity audio output. This is also complemented with the Tee Audio Tube (TAT) acoustic architecture that links inner ear space with the front and rear sound cavity, which filters out medium and high frequency noise.

Playback and volume is controlled by respectively swiping and tapping on the FreeBuds Studio’s touch panel that is located on the right earcup. Physical buttons include the dynamic noise cancellation on/off button on the left earcup, as well as a Bluetooth pairing button and power button on the right. The headphones is claimed by Huawei to be able to last up to 20 hours of playback time, and up to 24 hours with noise cancellation turned off. It also features fast charging support, allowing it to be fully charged in only 60 minutes via USB-C. The FreeBuds Studio will be available in Malaysia on 30 October and is sold at all HUAWEI Experience Store (HES) nationwide, as well as its online store. The new headphones will retail at RM1,199 and is available available in Graphite Black colour. (Source: Huawei Malaysia press release / Huawei Global)
