Twitter user Jeremy Horwitz shared a screenshot showing the option made available on the second beta of iOS 13.6. Not only do you get the new option to not automatically download updates and install them, you can also make it so that the update installs automatically overnight. You’ll also get the option to toggle them separately for any different combination of your choosing. But for the process to be completely automated, your device will have to meet two conditions. One is that your iPhone or iPad must be connected to a WiFi network. The other is that they must also be plugged in. The devices will send a push notification that it will be installing the update overnight.
— Jeremy Horwitz (@horwitz) June 9, 2020 This is a good addition for those who don’t want to install updates the moment they become available. When they are downloaded, iOS updates take up space, and depending on your usage, your iPhone or iPad may not have a lot of it to spare. If you wan’t this feature right away, you’ll have to get iOS 13.6 beta. There’s no release date for the general release version just yet. (Source: Jeremy Horwitz / Twitter via MacRumors)
