Publisher Deep Silver revealed that Metro Exodus will be a timed exclusive and will be available only through the Epic Games Store until 15 February 2020. This is despite the fact that you could pre-order the game from Steam prior to this announcement. The game will only make its way to Steam and other digital game stores once the exclusivity deal expires.

This is another disheartening blow to die-hard users of Steam, and generally anyone who doesn’t want to have so many game launchers on their PC. That said, it looks to be an inevitability, with the likes of Ubisoft’s The Division 2 also being an Epic Games Store exclusive. For those who have placed pre-orders on Steam, you’ll be able to get the game as promised. But at the time of writing, it’s no longer possible to do so on Valve’s game store. Any notion of pricing has also been removed, at least for the Malaysian market. (Source: PC Gamer)
