What makes the new check-in page different from the existing implementation is that it will show the users’ vaccination status. This way, they don’t have to go deep into the app’s profile section to directly show their digital vaccination certificate.

At the same time, the risk status on the new check-in page will also be much larger and colour-coded. Not only that, there is also a new section on the page that displays users’ last check-in location alongside the new check-out option which is designed to improve contact tracing according to Minister Khairy. The check-in success page has also been updated to show one’s vaccination status. Minister Khairy has also noted that the app will receive additional improvement and updates in the coming weeks. However, the update has yet to make its way to iOS App Store, Huawei AppGallery, and Google Play at the time this article was published. We will keep you posted once it goes live on these app marketplaces, so stay tuned. [UPDATE – 3 Sept / 10:44 PM] The update has since made its way to Apple and Huawei users.
