Specifically, the video clip itself is only 48 seconds long, but it does give us a quick glimpse at some of the updates Crytek and Saber Interactive have made to the game. This includes new lighting and updated assets, ray-traced reflections for both water and non-liquid surfaces and textures, and support of texture at resolutions of 8K.
Crysis Remastered is coming to your favorite gaming platforms on 18th September 2020. Here’s your first Sneak-Peek of the tech trailer including, high-quality textures up to 8K, ray tracing & more.https://t.co/2JnfyC7jRE pic.twitter.com/MwM2LN1pGg — Crysis (@Crysis) August 21, 2020 Crysis Remastered is set to be available across all currently existing consoles, including the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Strangely enough, the end of the teaser didn’t list the Nintendo Switch, despite Crytek having announced that it was one of the consoles included in the list. For PC gamers, though, it appears that Crysis Remastered is set to be an exclusive to Epic Games Store and not Steam. And while Crytek hasn’t made an official statement, it’s likely to be a timed exclusivity, and given the store’s ongoing trend, it’s likely to last for a year. On that note, it’s hard not to see the strange, if not bitter irony behind Tim Sweeney’s publishing practices and his current feud with Apple and Google. (Source: Crytek via Twitter)
