The full name of the game is “NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…”, which is hilariously long. The official NieR Twitter account says that it’s an upgraded version of the original. It also says that the game is already in development for PS4, Xbox One and Steam. The tweet also comes with a trailer, but it doesn’t contain a lot of detail about what to expect from the game.

Enter an apocalyptic world as you play as a brother on a quest to cure his sister of a deadly disease in this unique action RPG. pic.twitter.com/aKkebNjfI3 — NieR Series (@NieRGame) March 29, 2020 If you’ve never heard of NieR Replicant before, it tells a similar post-apocalyptic story of NieR: Automata. But instead on androids, you control a teenage boy who goes on a quest to cure his sister of a deadly disease. There was another version of the game called NieR Gestalt, which tells the same story, but from the perspective of a father trying to save his daughter. This new version of NieR Replicant has no release date yet, so let’s not hold our breaths for it. But it’s exciting to hear that the game will be making it to PC and current-gen consoles.
