Despite the way Razer sells it, the Blackwidow Lite is very much still a gaming-grade mechanical keyboard. It comes with Razer Orange switches which act as a hybrid between silent and tactile keys, much like Cherry MX Brown. To add on to the office-appropriate quietness are o-rings to further dampen the sound of the keys. It’s also the most compact keyboard the company has ever made, or so the Razer claims. This is because it’s also a tenkeyless keyboard, and this may affect its worthiness as an office keyboard, depending on what you do in the office.
While most other Blackwidows are now decked out with RGB backlighting, the Blackwidow Lite only has a single colour: white. Despite the limitation, it’s still compatible with Razer’s Synapse software for specific lighting patterns and macro recording.
