The rumour comes by way of a tweet by a Max J. (@Samsung_News_), a serial leakster who is supposedly known for his accurate leaks about Samsung and its devices. Max J. also provided a concept render of the device, though it’s painfully obvious that the design would never transpire. Of course, as rumours usually go, the exact details about the phone remains shrouded in mystery. Speculations suggest that the Xperia device will include a telephoto camera, a super wide-angle lens, and quite possibly a Time of Flight (TOF) sensor. It’s also possible that Sony could throw in a monochrome sensor and macro lens into the fray, but for now, it’s all just wishful thinking. https://twitter.com/Samsung_News_/status/1138162759105961984 Sony wouldn’t be the first brand to create a smartphone with more than a triple-camera setup. Back in February this year, Nokia announced self-titled Nokia 9 Pureview. A smartphone that features five 12MP cameras at the back.
Getting back on point, the device is still in its early stages of development, so don’t expect further news about it anytime soon. Moreover, considering Sony has already started defocusing its mobile efforts in Malaysia, it’s also unlikely that we will ever see the device officially launch in the country.
