The special editions of the ID. Buzz weren’t painted on but instead uses special adhesive stickers to convey the themes of good and evil that were inspired by the two most iconic characters in the series, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader. The lettering on the back and fenders of the minibuses also use the classic Star Wars “Aurebesh” font instead of the regular font.

The Light Side Edition is, of course, based on Obi-Wan and gets its beige colour from the character’s tunic. A blue line runs across the entire car to represent his  lightsaber and even all the windows are tinted blue, with the Jedi Order insignia being featured on the side windows.   You can also find the logo on the red centre caps of the custom 21-inch custom wheels. Last but not least, the Light Side Edition also has blue underside lighting and blue headlights to complete the look.

The Darth Vader variant, on the other hand, uses black and red to embody the Dark Side and give off an ominous vibe. The lower half of the EV’s body is black and shiny while the top half, as well as the windows, are covered in matte black draping.

Similarly, you can find the Empire’s insignias on the side windows and the centre cap of the wheels, which have black and red rims. Following the theme, the entire Dark Side Edition is decked out with red lighting that highlights its menacing look. Star Wars fans might be salivating over the Venn diagram of Obi-Wan and a futuristic minibus, but unfortunately, these special editions are one-of-a-kind and were made specifically for the series’ red carpet premiere, so you won’t be able to buy them. The next best thing is the regular ID. Buzz and the ID. Buzz Cargo, but even these are only in Europe for now. (Source: Volkswagen)
