Much like the original, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE comes with a flat 6.55-inch AMOLED DotDisplay which features a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 90Hz refresh rate, 10-bit TrueColor and Dolby Vision support, as well as a punch-hole camera cutout on its upper left. Also onboard is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, IP53 dust and splash resistance, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for its display.
New to this particular model is its chipset, which is the faster and 5G-enabled Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G – as opposed to the Snapdragon 732G SoC included in the original Xiaomi 11 Lite that was previously launched in Malaysia. Featured together with it is a memory configuration of 8GB for RAM and up to 256GB for internal storage, which can also be expanded via microSD. Powering the smartphone is a decently sized 4,250mAh battery that comes with 33W fast charging support via USB-C.
Found on the back of the NE is the same triple camera setup as before. This consists of a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle, and a 5MP telemacro. Along with the various familiar photography and video recording tools from the original is the new AI-powered One-click AI Cinema feature, cinematic video filters, and a Vlog mode. Meanwhile, situated in the display’s punch-hole camera cutout is a front-facing 20MP sensor for all of your selfie needs.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE will be on sale in Malaysia tomorrow on 24 September, retailing at a starting price of RM1,399. It will be available in Truffle Black, Bubblegum Blue, Peach Pink, and Snowflake White colourways. Those interested may check out Xiaomi’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee, authorised Mi stores, and official retailers nationwide. (Source: Xiaomi Malaysia press release)
